Route Choice-Based Socio-Technical Macroscopic Traffic Model

چکیده

Human route choice is undeniably one of the key contributing factors towards traffic dynamics. However, most existing macroscopic models are typically concerned with driving behavior and do not incorporate human in their formulation. In this paper, we propose a socio-technical model that characterizes states using attributes. Essentially, such provides framework for capturing Cyber-Physical-Social coupling smart transportation systems. To derive model, first use Cumulative Prospect Theory (CPT) to passengers’ under bounded rationality. These choices assumed be influenced by alerts other incomplete information. Next, assume vehicles operating non-cooperative cruise control scenario. Accordingly, segregates into multiple classes where each class corresponds specific between an origin-destination pair. Thereafter, Mean Field Game (MFG) limit game obtain which embeds attribute. Finally, analyze mathematical characteristics proposed present simulation studies illustrate show comparison model.

A Process Model for Route Choice in Risky Traffic Networks

The accurate modeling of travelers’ route choice decision making when faced with unreliable (risky) travel times is necessary for the assessment of policies aimed at improving travel time reliability. Compared with econometric models, process models have not been investigated in travel decision making under risk. A process model aims to describe the actual decision making procedure and could po...

An Agent-based Route Choice Model

Travel demand emerges from individual decisions. These decisions, depending on individual objectives, preferences, experiences and spatial knowledge about travel, are both heterogeneous and evolutionary. Research emerging from fields such as road pricing and ATIS requires travel demand models that are able to consider travelers with distinct attributes (value of time (VOT), willingness to pay, ...

Fuzzy Preference Based Route Choice Model

This paper introduces a methodology for route choice based on fuzzy preference relations. The core of the model is FiPV (Fuzzy-individuelle Präferenzen von Verkehrsteilnehmern or fuzzy traveler preferences), that is a choice function based on fuzzy pairwise comparisons for travel decisions. The proposed model may be the first application of fuzzy individual (preference-based) choice in travel d...

Multianticipative Nonlocal Macroscopic Traffic Model

Multianticipative driving behavior, where a vehicle reacts to many vehicles in front, has been extensively studied and modeled using a car-following (i.e., microscopic) approach. A lot of effort has been undertaken to model such multianticipative driving behavior using a macroscopic approach, which is useful for real-time prediction and control applications due to its fast computational demand....

Model - Based Analysis of Socio - Technical Risk 1

Traditional approaches to hazard analysis and safety-related risk management are based on an accident model that focuses on failure events in static engineering designs and linear notions of causality. They are therefore limited in their ability to include complex human decision-making, software errors, system accidents (versus component failure accidents), and organizational risk factors in th...
